Welcome to The Wishing Well RV Park, Catalina, AZ., "said to be the friendliest RV Park in Arizona"

About Us

Amenities

Just a quick note:  First phase is all old posts and boxes have been replaced!  The posts are all painted 'Hammered Copper' which we thought was appropriate since we live in the Copper state!  All electrical boxes have been changed out and will now close over your cord when you are plugged in.  Thank you to all our dedicated and loyal guests and residents for putting up with the changes!!!  Also, as you can see, this is our new website and we hope you all like it.  The previous site is still up for a time but eventually, the new one will take it's place.  We hope you like it and will let us know what you think.

The Wishing Well RV Park is a local family owned park and managed by none other but the 'Dynamic Duo', Denise and Wendy! We've lived here over twenty years and managed for over 14 of those years.  Time sure flies when you're having fun!!!

We are an adult park but you don't have to be 55 and older!  By the way, grandchildren are always welcome and we've never turned away a family travelling through.  We are just more geared to the adult RV'er as we do not have a playground setup for children.  However, there is a playground not a mile North of us where children congregate for monkey bars and swings.

We are centrally located in the small unincorporated town of Catalina, Arizona.  There are excellent restaurants within walking distance of the park and a major grocery chain within a mile.  We are also within five miles of a Super Walmart shopping Center and a major Medical Center.  We are nicely located in the foothills of the Catalina Mountain range which provide excellent photo shoots for sun rises and sunsets.

We have a recently renovated Community Center that offers satellite television with a DVD/VCR player in case you're in the mood to watch a movie from our free video library.  For you avid readers, we also offer a free book exchange and sincerely encourage you to take advantage of it.  You can read our books and switch out with some of yours you've read too many times.  There are also some puzzles and games to occupy some time and get to know your neighbors.

We also offer WIFI for a small fee but at this time you must be close to the office building for the best signal as the modem in contained in the managers office.  For long term guests, many of our sites have availability for phone/internet service through our current provider, Century Link.

Also within the community center building we have a small laundry of 2 washers and a dryer with drying lines outside for those of you who enjoy the fresh scent of clothes dried in the outdoors.  We have 2 bathrooms also inside the community center one of which has a large shower.  The other is a small half bath if you guys just need a quick wash and shave.

We are pet friendly and do not restrict size or breed.  We only ask our guests to keep their pooches on leashes per County ordinances.  Dogs must be walked in designated areas and potty must be properly disposed of.  We have a large dumpster on property for that purpose and trash.

Making a Reservation

Making a reservation is as easy as sending an email or calling us and letting us know when you plan on arriving.  We do not over book.  We have a calendar we use for reservations and if someone is on the calendar, they will have a space here when they arrive.  All we ask is if anything in your plans change, that you contact us and let us know so we are not turning people away in order to hold a spot.  We don't usually ask for a deposit unless there is a large group (which are welcome by the way) and then we only charge a one night fee per expected unit.  We had fun a few years ago when we hosted a group called, 'GMC Saguaro Jetset, Motorhome Club'!  Around 11 or 12 of the retro GMC Motorhomes circa 1970's spent a week with us for their 'Spring Jamboree'!  Think back to the Bill Murray movie, 'Stripes'  Yes, that's the one.  These units were all so fancy and just gorgeous and the folks were a delight.  They are always welcome back any time!

Managers Blog

I have never done this before, but we like to talk and express our opinions as most of you do too, so here it is.  For this first topic, we wanted everyone to know that our Thanksgiving Potluck went really well.  It was touch and go for awhile as our old grill finally died, but Kiki, came through with a grill from one of her daughters who had just bought a new one.  With a little extra work to keep it lit, Denise was able again to cook a 21 lb. turkey to where the meat was so juicy and tender, i
